UNTOUCHABLE TAYLOR SWIFT

American country pop sweetheart Taylor Swift and Big Machine records re-released her multi platinum FEARLESS album this time entitled FEARLESS PLATINUM EDITION. It has six new songs plus some of her previous tracks stripped down to acoustic, also includes music videos, tour diary and other stuff.
Here Taylor took an angry ol' metal song (originally performed by LUNA HALO) and turned it into this beautiful melody that sounds truly like an original Taylor Swift song. The soft lyrics and soft voice combine for this track is really so appealing to the ear. I think its a very good down to earth song of some good lovin'. Stream it below:

Here's a video performance of a new song titled JUMP THEN FALL which Taylor Swift delivers a more mature vocal style and honestly I can hear a bit of the famed Shania Twain in her!

Her name is ELIN PALMER.

She writes, performs and plays different musical instrument including violin and Nyckelharpa.

Her music roots stem back to the folk music of Sweden.

Palmer is no stranger in underground music scene and already worked with some mainstream artist like The Fray.

If u dig Drake's smash hit single BEST I EVER HAD, then you might also like this cool cover version delivered by our kababayan, the young trio of Donna, Anna and Ruby.

Nang mapanood ko sa YouTube si FATHIN AMIRA ang pagkanta niya ng "Bakit Pa?" ni Jessa Zaragoza sa 2009 Singapore Idol kamakailan lang, nagkaroon ako ng idea kung ano ang susunod na post ko dito sa COVER CORNER.

Yes, special feature ko ngayon ang ilang kilalang international singers na di lang dumalaw at nagkonsyerto sa bansa bagkus ay nagbigay din ng pagkakataon na makagawa at makakanta ng mga awiting gawa ng pinoy.

Una sa listahan ay walang iba kundi si JULIO IGLESIAS, ang nagpasikat ng mga kantang "To all the girls Ive loved before" at "All of you". Maalalang ilang beses siyang nagpabalik-balik sa Pinas dahil sa malaking suportang ibinigay ng mga Pilipino sa kanyang musika. At dito nya rin nakilala at napangasawa ang Philippine born meztiza socialite na si Isabel Preysler kung saan nagkaroon sila ng tatlong anak kasama na dyan si Enrique Iglesias.

Noong 1973, nagbigay ng magandang bersyon si Iglesias sa isa sa mga klasikong awiting pinoy, ang DAHIL SA 'YO.

- a Van Morrison song. Michael keeps it real...it soothes my soul. He's really the best in this genre!

In Focus: CHANTAL KREVIAZUK

CHANTAL KREVIAZUK is a singer-songwriter, a classically trained pianist from Winnipeg, Canada and the wife of Raine Maida- lead singer of the band, OUR LADY PEACE.

First heard her music in the blockbuster film ARMAGEDDON soundtrack with an amazing rendition of LEAVING ON A JETPLANE, a song written by John Denver and popularized by Peter, Paul & Mary.

Since then i'd become an avid fan of Chantal and bought a copy of her album COLOUR MOVING AND STILL (1998) which spawned the radio hit singles "Before You", "Dear Life" and a personal fave of mine, the bluesy rock ballad titled "BLUE".

In 1999, she recorded a cover of the Randy Newman ballad "FEELS LIKE HOME" for the TV series Dawson Creek's soundtrack:


Also performed a cover version of The Beatles' IN MY LIFE for the television drama Providence:

Gay icon LADY GAGA performs John Lennon's classic IMAGINE at the Human Rights Campaign dinner in Washington DC after an introduction by no other than the newly Nobel Peace Prize winner and President of USA Barack Obama!

The Songtress left her usual panty-less and bootylicious costumes at home, opting for a demure black dress topped with a pair of John Lennon's inspired sunglasses. She changed the lyrics to reflect the tragedy of Matthew Shephard, a gay college student who died in 1998 after he was tortured for being gay.

Lady Gaga also joined the rally next day and took part in a street demonstration outside the White House.
