One of my favorite christmas song ever recorded is a song called A HOLLY JOLLY CHRISTMAS. It was written by Johnny Marks, an American songwriter who is specialized in composting standard christmas songs like Rudolph, the red nosed reindeer, Rockin around the Christmas Tree etc.

First recorded by The Quinto Sisters in early 196o's but it was more popularized by BURL IVES. In 2009, American country music duo SUGARLAND recorded their own version and was featured in their christmas song collection cd titled Gold And Green.

Idol runner up CRYSTAL BOWERSOX finally released her first album FARMERS DAUGHTER, a collection of musical mastery she displayed week after week on American Idol earlier this year.Stand out tracks includes the passionate title track, the pre-Idol Holy Toledo, Mason (a song she penned with her hubby Brian Walker), and the awesome Buffalo Springfield cover, For What It's Worth. Stream the song below:

Crystal's music is best described as pop/rock music with country influences. I'll just say that if you enjoy the music of Melissa Etheridge or the influence of Janis Joplin, you might consider giving this album a listen.

Singer R. KELLY wrote and produced the song YOU ARE NOT ALONE for Michael Jackson back in 1995. And now his paying tribute to the King of Pop with a new version of this uplifting song.

The track will appear as a bonus cut on Kelly's upcoming album 'Love Le
tter'. Seeing as how he wrote it, his remake is good. It's more of a millenium track which younger generation would love to hear.

is one of the first people I started to follow on Youtube. His video covering Justin Bieber's "Baby" is what won me over. Over the past years, his popularity has grown to over hundreds of subscribers.

Ward has already an album on Itunes, and he is a prime example for how YouTube is becoming the new outlet for people to get noticed and to easily become well known. Check out his latest cover song video here:

- another great interpretation of a Katy Perry song. This time, he collaborated with equally talented Youtube artist Alex Goot...This performance is so simple and beautiful, no big things, just two amazing voices!!

DOLORES O'RIORDAN covers Fleetwood Mac

I really missed the Irish band CRANBERRIES especially the haunting voice of vocalist DOLORES O'RIORDAN. After the band's hiatus in 2003, Oriordan released two solo albums- Are You Listening (2007) and No Baggage. In 2009, the band reunited and began a North American tour, followed by dates in Latin America and Europe in early 2010.

According to their website, they are planning to enter the studio next year to begin recording their much delayed new album. Meanwhile, check out Oriordan's amazing acoustic cover performance of Fleetwood Mac classic hit Go Your Own Way. Watch!

Ex-Be Good Tanya's FRAZEY FORD covers Bob Dylan's track One More Cup Of Coffee. This version is featured on her first solo album Obadiah. She sticks to the original storytelling melody but it's her soulful voice that turn the song fresh and nostalgic.

I've heard that Obadiah received favorable reviews from music critics and running for the list of BEST ALBUM released this year.

is a song written and performed by music icon Dolly Parton from her 1974 album of the same title. Now, one of the most innovative and interesting band of the last decade Meg and Jack White aka THE WHITE STRIPES gave a brilliant cover of the song. This track is included in their fourth studio album Under Blackpool Lights.
This song has the best lyrics ever! When I found out The White Stripes had done this just blew me away!

I once heard one song by this Dutch band called ROOM ELEVEN so I decided to look up some more of their songs in the web and found out how great they are!... Their amazing style of music- modern jazz combines with pop and it's a jazz style which is easy to listen to.
Many jazz music are difficult to listen and require some attention or taste. But Room Eleven makes everybody listen and is so much fun to hear to- most especially their tracklist of cover songs.

FAITH (GEORGE MICHAEL) vocalist Janne Schra has a cool, soothing voice. She should become an international star!

CRAZY (GNARLS BARKLEY) super duper like this one!

...and my favorite, Meredith Brooks' BITCH. Beautiful, soft and sounds so pure.

Check out this cover song medley from today's hottest music sensation BRUNO MARS.

Although the singer-songwriter got himself arrested last week on suspicion of narcotics possession, I don’t really care!...It’s all about the music, and the 23-year-old rising star (who has filipino blood on his veins!) is so amazingly talented!!!

Mars still on top of the Billboard charts for three weeks in a row with his debut single Just The Way You Are. =O

Rendezvous with TONY LUCCA

If you remember the teen drama series Malibu Shores sometime in the late 1990's then you probably familiar with TONY LUCCA.

Today, he is already a noted singer-songwriter with sixth studio album under his belt. His latest work Rendezvous With The Angels features his most thoughtful, tuneful and mature record yet. This includes an amazingly well done cover of Billy Joel's hit VIENNA. I really like the updated folky version of the song and you can stream it's entirety here:

Try also to watch Lucca's great performance of Richard Marx's NOW AND FOREVER with former N'sych member JC CHASEZ...

...and his breath taking version of I CANT MAKE YOU LOVE ME. He's not only blessed with a great voice, also plays a killer piano ang guitar!

There's no doubt in my mind that "I dont wanna miss a thing" by Aerosmith is one of the greatest song of all time. Well, Japanese singer YUNA ITO thinks so too and is taking the song under her own wing!

I am very impressed by her own style of delivering the music, from a rock song to something quite soothing and pleasant to the ear. Don’t be thinking that I’m dissing the legendary Aerosmith, they are of course GOOD! But y’all need to give credit to Yuna for making a lovely rendition of the song.

Check out her performance and appreciate her voice!

Three German singers Digger, Sam and Basti- or popularly known as THE BASEBALLS are back with the released of their new album STRIKE BACK.

Actually, this is a re-issue of their 2009 debut album STRIKE with the inclussion of new cover tracks led by the first single CHASING CARS, a 2006 hit from Snow Patrol. As usual, the guys show their skills in turning current popular songs into energetic, rock and roll 50's style.

The band had quite a bit of success in Europe and are now building up some buzz worldwide.
