Watch this band called DOLL AND THE KICKS performing a killer mashup of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and Madonna's "Express Yourself"...This girl's voice is outstanding! Luv it!

Detroit's JAY JOLLEY does a stripped version of Queen's classic THE SHOW MUST GO ON. I love the voice, the passion and the energy...well done!

AARON ENGLISH BAND: NORWEGIAN WOOD/KASHMIR cover

Seattle based singer-songwriter AARON ENGLISH takes an amazing cover mash-up of Led Zeppelin's Kashmir and The Beatles' Norwegian Wood... Despite the name, this is not a solo project but a band consisting of seven musicians, although Aaron English is the undisputed band leader.
The song can be heard in the video below. This is the most stunning piece of work I have heard in some time! Aaron has a truly stunning voice, backed by a brilliant band. EPIC!!!

This medley is available on iTunes. The link to it can be found here.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps...

Legendary Latin singer CARLOS SANTANA has just released his latest album Guitar Heaven: The Greatest Guitar Classics of All Time which finds him once again collaborating with a wide range of artists to date.
The first track from the album finds the guitar legend taking on the Beatles 1968 classic 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps,' with help from neo-soul star India Aerie and world famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

...the soulfullness is just incredible!

CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE (Queen) surprisingly well done cover.

I Found ALISON KRAUSS

If you like country, calm melodic or sophisticated acoustic music, this CD won't disappoint you.

NOW THAT I FOUND YOU: A COLLECTION is a compilation of cover songs and older singles from Grammy award winning bluegrass artist ALISON KRAUSS (along with her band Union Station). Her soothing voice and beautiful instrumental sound make this one of the best album I own.

If you havent heard Alison Krauss' music before, i recommend that you should check out or buy this album...Nothing but greatness here.

BABY NOW THAT I FOUND YOU (The Foundations) if angels could sing they would probably sound like alison krauss

OH ATLANTA (Bad English) my favorite track on this cd..she really shines on this song

I WILL (The Beatles) only a tremendous talent like krauss could make a Beatles song into a bluegrass masterpiece

WHEN YOU SAY NOTHING AT ALL (Keith Whitley) one of the most beautiful mellow songs ive heard...so touching!

COLBIE CAILLAT COVERS

IDOL LEE DEWYZE

Im not really a fan of LEE DEWYZE but i had to admit that his performance in this year's American Idol is improving week after week. I think Casey James should do something (pick the right song and be 'emotional') coz it appears that his superior musicianship, great vocals and style aren't helping him.
But in fairness to Lee, he has a voice with the smokiness of Bryan Adams, the physical movement of Bruce Springsteen and the force of a controlled energy ready to bust out!...So its also hard to ignore this dude!

HEY JUDE by The Beatles

THE BOXER by Simon and Garfunkel

**p.s. iklik lang po ang title kung gusto niyong idawnlod ang mga kantang yan. Enjoy! :D

All My Lovin'...

Can you guess who this celeb is?...

before all her drugs and shenanigans this was….Amy Winehouse!

She hasn't released any music for nearly three years. But the good news is- she's back in the studio to record new material with super produ Mark Ronson. While waiting for the new album to come out, listen to Amy Winehouse as she interprets one of the most popular hit single of The Beatles.

ALL MY LOVING by Amy Winehouse

JEALOUS GUY by Casey James

Among the remaining male finalists in this season's American Idol, i'll go for Casey James. His tender, emotionally raw performance of a John Lennon solo hit was just an outstanding performance. This is a great example of what a great cover rendition should be like!

Jealous Guy

I was dreaming of the past.
And my heart was beating fast,
I began to lose control,
I began to lose control,

I didn't mean to hurt you,
I'm sorry that I mad you cry,
I didn't want to hurt you,
I'm just a jealous guy,

I was feeling insecure,
You night not love me any more,

I was shivering inside,
I was shivering inside,

I was trying to catch your eyes,
Thought that you were trying to hide,
I was swallowing my pain,
I was swallowing my pain.

GIRLYMAN FAN

I had never heard Girlyman before until i discover them in MySpace. Their gentle melodies and great harmony is so addicting that I immediately become an instant fan of this folk rock trio.

Every time I listen to their songs it feels like I'm receiving a great big wonderfully fulfilling musical experience! It is impossible to hear these guys without totally falling in love with all three of them!!!

ALL THROUGH THE NIGHT original song by one of my fave female act Cyndi Lauper. This version is so touching and exceptional!

MY SWEET LORD a classic song by George Harrisson (The Beatles). A real gem cover in the cover songlist!

BEATLES COVERS THAT WILL BLOW UR MIND

I thought it would be fun to put together a list of some of the best BEATLES covers out there. They are the most prolific group in the history of popular music and its difficult not to want to give them a space here (not to mention the fact that they wrote a ton of spectacular songs). And its really a big challenge for me to find the flowers amidst the thorns. My choice is geared more towards mainstream artists but I also included some indie musicians to diversify the list.

SHERYL CROW- MOTHER NATURE'S SON best cover rendition from a female artist. As always, Sheryl is amazing!

EDDIE VEDDER (from Pearl Jam)- YOU'VE GOT TO HIDE UR LOVE AWAY i love this man!...Vedder is a Lennon reincarnated!

STEREOPHONICS- DONT LET ME DOWN wish ko na sana ako na lang si Chantal Kreviazuk!

FIONA APPLE- ACROSS THE UNIVERSE phenominal cover!...one of my fave Beatles song!

SARA MACLACHLAN- BLACKBIRD another great take from a very talented artist like Sara...like the way she "owned" the song!

ELLIOT SMITH- BECAUSE

BOYZ II MEN- YESTERDAY

BEN HARPER- STRAWBERRY FIELDS FOREVER

ALISON KRAUSS- I WILL

SARA BAREILLES- OH DARLING

In Focus: CHANTAL KREVIAZUK

CHANTAL KREVIAZUK is a singer-songwriter, a classically trained pianist from Winnipeg, Canada and the wife of Raine Maida- lead singer of the band, OUR LADY PEACE.

First heard her music in the blockbuster film ARMAGEDDON soundtrack with an amazing rendition of LEAVING ON A JETPLANE, a song written by John Denver and popularized by Peter, Paul & Mary.

(Watch the video below.)

Since then i'd become an avid fan of Chantal and bought a copy of her album COLOUR MOVING AND STILL (1998) which spawned the radio hit singles "Before You", "Dear Life" and a personal fave of mine, the bluesy rock ballad titled "BLUE".

In 1999, she recorded a cover of the Randy Newman ballad "FEELS LIKE HOME" for the TV series Dawson Creek's soundtrack:

Also performed a cover version of The Beatles' IN MY LIFE for the television drama Providence:
