LANA DEL REY: CHELSEA HOTEL NO. 2

Here is LANA DEL REY covering Leonard Cohen's 1974 classic hit "Chelsea Hotel No. 2"...Every time i listen to her voice, i fly away to a different world. The depressing nature of Lana's singing is precisely what makes her music appealing!

RANDOM COVERS

Great cover songs below that you need to check out!

Watch this band called DOLL AND THE KICKS performing a killer mashup of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" and Madonna's "Express Yourself"...This girl's voice is outstanding! Luv it!

Detroit's JAY JOLLEY does a stripped version of Queen's classic THE SHOW MUST GO ON. I love the voice, the passion and the energy...well done!

New York songstress VAN MULLER adds a sexy, blues-rock twist to the classic tune BABY IT'S YOU originally made famous by The Shirelles and The Beatles...Very nice rendition! (More artist info here.)

Canadian artist TODD KOAL covers U2's RUNNING TO STAND STILL...This song is one of my favorites from the Joshua Tree album, and Koal did justice to that song. Amazing! What a cool version!

Finally, Fil-Am internet sensation JOSEPH VINCENT did his own thing on Bruno Mars' Talking To The Moon. Sana siya naman punta Pinas!!!

LIV TYLER cover song!

In 2009, American alternative rock band The Lemonheads recorded an all cover-song album titled Varshons. The lead single is a Leonard Cohen original 'Hey, That's No Way To Say Goodbye' which features the soft and raspy voice of stunning actress LIV TYLER. What makes this song striking is that it takes the original and makes it a duet. Otherwise, it doesn't try to change up the formula. It just takes two gorgeous voices, and lets them send Cohen's gorgeous lyrics back and forth to each other!... Stream!

AMAZING AMY!

AMY MACDONALD first crossed my radar with her captivating debut single This Is The Life.

I instantly fell in love with the Scottish singer-songwriter and now she's back with a new album (A Curious Thing) and a new cover song from Bruce Springsteen. Stream the song below:

DANCING IN THE DARK (Bruce Springsteen) a hidden track in the new cd. I'm a Boss's fan and for me, this version is perfect!

Other awesome Macdonald's covers:

HALLELUJAH (Leonard Cohen) she never stops to amazed me- great rendition!

MR. BRIGHTSIDE (The Killers) a part of me has just died...

How about this punk version of her hit, THIS IS THE LIFE by FUTURE IDIOTS?...

RUFUS WAINWRIGHT: HALLELUJAH

Of all the cover version of this beautiful Leonard Cohen's classic, this one is my favorite.

Performed by
Rufus Wainwright, I thought the song HALLELUJAH is perfect for this lenten season. Hest interpreted the song in a melancholic but very uplifting way.

American singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley (who also covered the song) says,
"the song is like a tiny capsule of humanity, the lyrics and the melody are just incredible.... It's one of the greatest songs ive ever heard."
