I thought it would be fun to put together a list of some of the best BEATLES covers out there. They are the most prolific group in the history of popular music and its difficult not to want to give them a space here (not to mention the fact that they wrote a ton of spectacular songs). And its really a big challenge for me to find the flowers amidst the thorns.
My choice is geared more towards mainstream artists but I also included some indie musicians to diversify the list.
SHERYL CROW- MOTHER NATURE'S SON best cover rendition from a female artist. As always, Sheryl is amazing!
EDDIE VEDDER (from Pearl Jam)- YOU'VE GOT TO HIDE UR LOVE AWAY i love this man!...Vedder is a Lennon reincarnated!
STEREOPHONICS- DONT LET ME DOWN wish ko na sana ako na lang si Chantal Kreviazuk!
FIONA APPLE- ACROSS THE UNIVERSE phenominal cover!...one of my fave Beatles song!
SARA MACLACHLAN- BLACKBIRD another great take from a very talented artist like Sara...like the way she "owned" the song!
