MELANIE FIONA: IRONIC

Grammy nominated R&B songstress MELANIE FIONA covers Alanis Morissette's classic "Ironic" live for Billboard's Candid Covers presented by Nikon.

“[Ironic] is just a great song that I think just really cut through in pop culture when I was a child,” explained Mel. “There was not a person in the world that didn’t know that song. No matter what type of music you listen to, no matter where you grew up, you know that song. I think that was a special song for me back then because it really made me pay attention to the art of storytelling.” Watch the music video below:

CHRISTINA PERRI's cover songs

In the spotlight: CHRISTINA PERRI's cover songs found in her Youtube channel. Watch the videos below and enjoy!

This is one of my favorite oldies...Her voice is so incredible and smokey!

What a soulful and passionate voice that demands to be heard! After Adele, she's my next favorite new artist around.

Best cover ive heard of this song!... 'What it all comes down to' is this girl has crazy talent and sang this song with a sincerity and angst. We haven't seen since Alanis sang it herself. And I just love this unplugged acoustic performance.

I have loved Christina Perri since she appeared on "So You Think You Can Dance?". She has a really soulful sound to me, not all electronic and poppy. Her debut album 'LOVESTRONG' is awesome and definitely one of the best album released this year.

NOT THE DOCTOR...

I'm loving this amazing cover by Youtube artist BARRIE WALKER of an old Alanis Morissette song NOT THE DOCTOR, a cut from her 1995 smash hit album Jagged Little Pill.

The richness of his voice is so warm...This totally made me LISTEN to the words for the very first time. Watch! =)
