KELLY CLARKSON performs a fantastic cover of Coldplay and Rihanna's "Princess of China" for Fearne in the BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge...Kelly is so friggin out of this world! It goes to show that she'd still win American Idol if she auditioned now!!

COLDPLAY pays tribute to the Beastie Boys

COLDPLAY honors the Beastie Boys, specifically Adam Yauch, in this live performance. It took place at the Hollywood Bowl on May 4, 2012. LOVE this...A very different take on a great song. A tribute is a bands way of showing respect to another band and they did a great job showing theirs. Good job Coldplay!!

The beautiful and talented SARA BAREILLES performs a gorgeous live piano-and-vocal cover of Coldplay's mellow hit "YELLOW" at IHeartRadio. I've seen so many covers of this song, some pretty good and others average. Sara's version is definitely one of the best! Watch the performance below.

Viva 2010!

Happy New Year guys!!!

I suppose I'm off to a good start by posting the first day of the year. I'm glad to see 2009 go for many reasons, I'm ready for a new year, a new decade and a fresh start. I hope 2010 proves awesome for us all and far surpasses any expectations we may have.

And the first music entry for this blog is a song that popularized by Chris Martin and his band Coldplay. Their song Viva La Vida won Song of the Year at the Grammy Awards last year and become the band's highest charting single. It was also well-received by music critics and becoz of that, a lot of artists made their own rendition of the song. Check out some of the noted ones below.

THE ABRAM BROTHERS this group did an amazing country version of the song!

LADY GAGA who says this artist cant sing?...she's freaky but she's unbelievably talented!

BOYCE AVENUE one of the best cover performance from these guys! I luv it!

Love Story meets Viva la Vida!

This is an incredible cover version of Taylor Swifts Love Story mix with Coldplay's Viva La Vida by piano artists Jon Schmidt.

I just love this video. This is absolutely mind-blowing!

Check out more on Jon Schmidt here.

TAYLOR SWIFT

What more can I say?...Gustong-gusto siya ng mga teenagers kong pamangkin. Even me na thirty something already e feel ko rin ang mga music niya.

Taylor Swift proves that she's not just your ordinary teeny bopper artists. She plays an instrument, write her own song extremely respectable of her age.

With a smash hit album, FEARLESS, she continues to create waves with another Billboard charttopper single, "You belong with me".

Kaya naman i'd like to posts some covers on her music. Her biggest hit, "Love Story" had been covered by a lot of artists. But here's my favorite by Jon Schmidt, a piano version mix with Coldplay's "Viva La Vida".

FOREVER THE SICKEST KIDS: Love Story

Alejandro Manzano of BOYCE AVENUE recently did an amazing cover of Taylor Swift's "Breathe". Stream it here:

TAYLOR SWIFT has her own share of covering songs from other artists. A noted one is from the band Better than Ezra.
